Mr Robertson Cafe

Nice cafe tucked away in Nunawading. When we arrived it was still quiet but it got really busy as lunch hour began (on a weekday). Plenty of seating options inside or outside so you should be able to get a spot!Love the aesthetics, the staff were friendly and relaxed as well. We enjoyed the coffee and the corn fritters were really tasty. I personally wasn't a huge fan of the benny (I think the flavour combo wasn't what I expected - might be the marinade or lack of on the pork) but the eggs were poached perfectly. The chai spices were surprisingly really strong which we liked!

From the moment I walked in, I loved the environment and atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was amazing. Every member of the staff greeted us with genuine smiles and made us feel very welcomed. They were attentive and it was clear they genuinely cared about creating a great experience for every guest. The food was simply amazing. It was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it was the coffee, brunch items, or lunch everything exceeded expectations. What truly stood out, though, was the manager and crew. They went out of their way to check in on guests and added such a personal touch to the whole visit. It didn’t feel forced or scripted—it felt like a very genuine experience. Their passion for the place and dedication to making people feel welcome was obvious and made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this café to anyone looking for great food, lovely people, and a place that just feels good to be in. I’ll definitely be back!

Great food and service, plenty of tables and the cafe caters for larger groups. I highly recommend the Rosti and Fritter breakies (Pictured from visit on 26/09/25)

STAY AWAY FROM PIZZA. it looks like frozen pizza you buy from coles. Nice cafe with good service and good food except pizza.. Located in a bussines area so we wermt sure if it's right for us for a Sunday brunch but we glad we went. Very busy in even in a cold day. Outdoor seating if you have dogs and heater is a bonus.

Mr Robertson is a cafe opened at a pretty peculiar place, I wouldn’t have expected there to be a cafe there. The vibe is pretty nice and cozy. The food was okay, the chicken Parma wasn’t crunchy and the sauce wasn’t as flavoursome as I’d like, but the chicken was super tender yet not dry at all. Steak sandwich was alright too.

Will have to come back and try some of the food. We just had coffee and pastry. They do pizza along with baked eggs and other food that looks great. Will update the review when I get back here. Doesn’t look like much from the outside but very nice on the inside. Take away drinks get a mini muffin free at the moment.

Visited on 6-June-2025 The food quality was pretty average. Coffee was well. Staff were pretty polite and caring. Vibe was warm and energetic. Quality of food: 3.5 Staff and behaviour: 5 Vibe: 4 Parking availability: 4.5 Value for money: 4
